Transform Your Classic Mini into an EV – Step-by-Step Instructions
Welcome to the EKCO Mini EV Kit installation Guide
Before starting, ensure you have:
✔️ A basic set of tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers)
✔️ A hydraulic jack and jack stands
✔️ A lifting crane
🛠 Step 1: Removing the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) System
Remove Fuel & Exhaust Components

Disconnect and remove throttle linkages and fuel lines.

Unbolt and remove the exhaust pipe from the undercarriage.

Carefully remove the fuel tank, ensuring all fuel has been drained safely.
Detach Drivetrain & Suspension Components

Release the wheel hubs from the kingpin by loosening and detaching the connections.

Remove the factory drive shafts, ensuring they are completely free from the differential.

Carefully detach and lift out the engine and gearbox assembly using a lifting crane.
⚡ Step 2: Installing the Mini EV Kit
Positioning & Securing the EKCO Mini EV Kit

Hoist the EKCO Mini EV Kit using the supplied harness.

Align the EKCO Mini EV Kit with the existing engine mounting points.

Drop and bolt the EKCO Mini EV Kit in place using the supplied fasteners.
🔌 Step 3: Electrical System Installation
Dashboard & Wiring Setup

Remove the factory instrument cluster from the dashboard.

Install the supplied dashboard wiring by connecting it to the existing instrument cluster wiring harness.
Throttle Pedal Installation

Mount and install the supplied throttle pedal, ensuring a secure fit and full range of motion.
